I would say that as long as you aren't making a purchase expecting it to be some huge visual improvement (i.e. expecting it to fix XP weather coding issues) but rather a more accurate injector with the pros of integrating it with flight planning then you won't be disappointing my friend.
I was a P3D only simmer for the longest time, I only switched to X Plane within the last year and this was one of the products I missed the most. Given the quality of Active Sky in P3D I would say give HiFi some time and it will become something closer to that, I would imagine part of that will depend on the community and how much HiFI sees an interest in their product on the XP platform.
Every weather add on suffers the same issue, the reason is because of the X-Plane code, not the addon. It was an instant buy for me for a few reasons. It provides more accurate weather i.e. temp, baro, winds aloft ect ect. than default weather. I also can use it with pfpx for adding weather into my flight plans as it pairs with active sky. Littlenav map also pairs with active sky. Other x plane weather add ons didnt provide this cross integration as well or at all that I could see.
